As the cast list shrinks, the episodes improve significantly

The series as a whole has a slightly lower rating than it really deserves at the time of this writing, although that’s understandable – it’s taking a bit of time to really establish a fully magically oriented series and a new cast of characters. a bit odd, given what the show is about: casting balloons and then bursting.
Overall a solid 8/10
The series is best focused on specific character stories; it’s in the more personal moments where the writing really starts to shine. As a result, even though the first few episodes seem to take a minute to “get going”, they are still ' well' but the show actually gets pretty good when it hits its stride. Not as impressive as Wandavision, but (to my surprise) not a disappointing successor either.
